iLove iGoogle

In the spirit of all things Google I have gone back to using my iGoogle as a main page when I open up Firefox. I must say, I am loving it! It's great having a main page where I can access my Gmail, to do lists, twitter feed, rss feeds and more all in one go.

iGoogle allows you to set up multiple pages for different topics. So I have been able to group my widgets according to areas such as Home for gmail and more, Photography, Blogs and Music. There are a range of themes that you can choose to decorate your iGoogle page, and i'm sure there is one to suit everyone! My chosen theme at the moment is by Masha Tsigal - which is one of the artist themes. It changes depending on the time of the day, which I find great so i'm not staring at the same thing all day!

It easily allows you to search for new applications/widgets to add to your pages through the 'Add Stuff' button. Applications are easily moved around in each page by dragging and dropping them to where you want them to be.

Some of my favourite applications at the moment are twittergadget, To Do List (which is linked to my to do list in gmail), Gtalk, Interesting photo of the day, RSS feeder, mac shortcuts and weather. There are many more applications available that you can add to your iGoogle page such as games - though I find that these do not work when I am at work!

What are some of your favourite iGoogle applications?

I too love iGoogle and couldn't live without it now. My faves are RSS feeder of course, facebook, weather, apple hot news, google docs, nz herald and air nz grab a seat. My theme has a macbook pro on it of course and a mouse that plays or sleeps depending on the time of day.
