Last week I had the opportunity to be involved in developing a new conference that will kick off in April this year in Auckland, then Christchurch in July. 13 people were brought together for 3 days to discuss the format, topics and general workings of the Beyond IT conferences.

I was rather stunned at being asked to take part in this, but am hugely grateful for the opportunity to be locked up in a conference room for 3 days with some of the amazing minds that were there. The conversations were rich and plentiful and a wordle created by Glen (see below) at the end of the conference from our notes proved exactly what our focus for this conference was to be:
Learning and The Students.
Hopefully, what we are designing will result in a great hands on and thoughtful conference for those that take part. I know that if it is anything like what we experienced over the 3 days that the particpants will take alot away with them.
